The family of the Duke of Wellington announce that the Duke died on 31st December aged 99. He died peacefully at his house on the Stratfield Saye Estate in Hampshire, surrounded by his family. The private funeral for family and the estate will be at Stratfield Saye Church. A memorial service will be held in London in the Spring.
