Important Information
Clothing Standards
Hard Hats (to current BHS requirements) and suitable footwear must be worn; footwear must have a smooth sole and a defined heel; shoes with buckles, platform or ribbed soles or high heels will not be permitted. Body protectors are strongly advised for jumping and mandatory for cross country. Hard Hats can be hired at a small charge. Regular clients are expected to wear correct riding attire.
Group discount
Group discount is given to bone-fide schools or clubs with minimum of 6 riders, riding Tuesday to Friday.
New clients
All new clients at Wellington Riding are assessed in a half-hour private lesson. They must complete a client details form on booking their first lesson. (All information received shall remain private and confidential).
Weather
We expect to ride in most conditions and appropriate clothing should be worn.
Weight restriction
To maintain a high standard of horse welfare it is necessary for us to impose an upper weight restriction on riders. Please contact reception for further details.
Closed
Wellington Riding is closed for lessons all day Monday, except for courses and holidays.
Wellington Riding Saddle Club
The club is run by and for our adult clients. The Saddle Club organises a calendar of competitions and events throughout the year. Please contact Reception for details and an application form.
Wellington Riding Pony Club
Non-pony owning junior clients can become members of our Centre Pony Club, which organises a calendar of competitions and events throughout the year. Please contact reception for details and an application form.
No Smoking
Wellington Riding operates a No Smoking policy throughout its premises.
Horse Riding
Horse Riding is a risk sport. We make every effort to ensure the safety of our clients and their property. Clients must accept the risk of personal injury or loss for whatever reason, while attending the establishment.
