Avington Park is the most prestigious stately home in beautiful surroundings.
The estate is first mentioned in the Domesday Book and has been altered in intervening years. Both Charles II and George VI stayed at Avington.
Today Avington Park is a magnificent family home available for exclusive hire. Three superbly decorated rooms and two 19th-century conservatories flanking a pillared orangery are available for business and private use.
The grandest room is the Ballroom on the first floor, with a magnificent painted ceiling and huge mirrors. The Library has painted panels and 18th-century Delft fireplace, displays of trophies and swords, and looks out on the south lawns.
